How to get here

It is easy to go buy train or bus from Oslo Airport (Oslo lufthavn). Trains leave hourly from Oslo Airport, and the train ride to Lillehammer takes 2 hours. Trains direction Dombås and Trondheim stop in Lillehammer.

Lillehammer Skysstasjon is the main terminal for buses, trains, and taxi cabs. Train tickets from NOK 200. You can buy tickets on ticket machines or on the train.

The hotel is located 1.3 km from the terminal. Taxi price from Lillehammer Skysstasjon (main terminal) to the hotel is around 160 NOK during daytime.

A visit to open air museum Maihaugen for a walk through the history before returning to dine at the Koiene Restaurant at Scandic Lillehammer Hotel.

On our final evening together, we will meet for an EDGE party at the Brenneriet Restaurant where we will celebrate new friendships and shared experiences from the past few days.

Casual/business casual on all events.
It is smart to bring warm shoes and a warm jacket for walking to and from the evening events.

Pictures and videos will be taken. If you do not want to be filmed, please address the photographer onsite.

Weather

March in Lillehammer is winter season. Temperatures varies between -10 °C to +5 °C so wear warm layered clothing and winter shoes.

Language

Norwegian is the language in Norway. English is the official language of the event and is also spoken everywhere in the city too. Lillehammer's friendly inhabitants love to welcome visitors to their city. Nearly everybody is ready and able to have a conversation in English.

Money and currency

The Norwegian currency is “Kroner” (NOK).

Almost everywhere you can pay with Credit card. Visa and MasterCard are the most accepted credit cards, with far fewer accepting Amex or Diners. If in doubt, ask before doing a purchase.

Emergency

In the event of traffic accidents, fire or other emergency situations, emergency services should be contacted immediately on 113. The police can be contacted by calling 112 and fire department at 110.

Electricity

Norway outlets supply electricity at between 220 and 240 volts AC. Travelers with devices that do not fit into standard European electrical sockets will need to bring an adaptor. It is important to note that travel adaptors do not change the voltage, so if a device has a maximum voltage lower than 220v a voltage converter is also necessary to lower the voltage to the correct level.
